THE FOOL INTERN

Category

Major Arcana - Archetype of Beginnings (and Free Labor).

Card Meaning

Blind optimism, naïve leaps of faith, and the eternal belief that exposure pays rent. The Fool Intern dances at the edge of opportunity, armed only with a college syllabus and a dream that LinkedIn connections will somehow equal health insurance.

Upright

Fresh start, forced cheerfulness, unpaid “learning experiences,” a wide-eyed sponge soaking up “mentorship” (aka, everyone else’s grunt work).

Reversed

Catastrophic mistakes, spilled lattes, the privilege of being blamed for things you didn’t even know existed. The scapegoat archetype in its purest form.

Corporate Symbolism

The intern: clueless, disposable, yet somehow responsible for the company’s worst disasters. Tossed into the corporate circus with no training, fetching coffees, making copies, and smiling through it all because “it’ll look great on my résumé.” Everyone chuckles… right before handing them the blame for a quarterly loss.

Keywords
