Manny Rollez is living proof that companies will invent titles just to pay you less. While most associates at SarcastiCo. already “do it all,” Manny is an Associate Associate — which means he does the same work as everyone else, only with fewer benefits, less respect, and a paycheck that screams “exposure is the real reward.” Fresh to the circus, Manny is eager, overworked, and blissfully unaware of how the game is rigged. He hasn’t yet developed Burnie Stilwell’s grumpy wisdom, but give him a year (and a few denial emails from HR), and he’ll catch on. For now, he smiles through the chaos, says “yes” to every task, and pretends the double “associate” in his title isn’t a red flag the size of the SarcastiCo. logo. Manny enjoys updating his résumé with verbs that sound impressive, daydreaming about promotions that will never come. His most popular quote is: “At least I’m not the intern… right?”
